Super Soaker CPS 1000 Review

The Super Soaker CPS 1000 is a rare blaster from the Third Age of Super Soakers.  It was released back in 1998 and is still an excellent blaster.

Build
This blaster is built to last, and it has.  The exterior is all very solid, the only parts that have had any problems at all are o-rings, and that is almost inevitable, given the age.

Comfort
This thing is the exact opposite of a Buzz Bee blaster in terms of ergonomics.  That is to say, the handle is massive.  Overall it is very comfortable and surprisingly well balanced.

Performance
Oh boy.  It's a CPS blaster so it goes without saying that power is going to be awesome.  I can hardly imagine what a CPS 2000's stream must be like.  If held lightly, one can actually feel a fair bit of recoil.  Imagine that - recoil from a water blaster :)  Range is just over the 30' mark, which puts it a couple feet above the average range for soakers.  If it were new it could probably get about 5' more range.

Soaking Power
The CPS 1000 puts out more water (at least in a stream) than any other soaker I have except the hose.  Drenching people is almost too easy.  The only downside to that much power output is that you will run out of water alarmingly fast.

Overall
Do I need to say any more?  It is an excellent all-round soaker and even though I don't have any other vintage CPS blasters, I'd put it in the top 5 best soakers of all time.  If you are lucky enough to have a chance to get this rare blaster, go for it. You won't regret it.
